Description
The UW Leadership Education in Adolescent Health Program (UW LEAH) is recruiting a Fellow in Social Work for the 2025-2026 academic year.
UW LEAH is dedicated to training future leaders in adolescent health with the goal of improving health of all adolescents. Fellows are recruited from five key disciplines: Social Work, Medicine, Nursing, Nutrition and Psychology. Fellows receive advanced training through interdisciplinary seminars, committees, and direct clinical practice. Each Fellow is mentored by faculty to develop and complete a leadership project, which may be a research study, quality improvement process, or product or resource for use in a clinical setting. Fellows must be available every Friday from 12:30 – 2:45 to participate in LEAH activities both online and in-person.
Clinically, the Fellow practices at the Adolescent Medicine Clinic of Seattle Children’s Hospital – an outpatient, subspeciality clinic serving adolescents and their families. The Fellow will conduct psychosocial assessments, provide brief therapy through an integrated behavioral health model, facilitate parent/caregiver groups, engage in crisis prevention planning, and shadow other clinical settings in the hospital and community.
