Description

Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization working for social justice and offering a broad array of behavioral health programs, human services and civic engagement activities for Asian and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islanders and other communities in King County and beyond. ACRS serves a wide range of Asian and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander communities – immigrants, refugees and American born – in the Pacific Northwest.

 

We are recruiting for 3 total students for 3 locations. 1 student per location: 1) ACRS Seattle Main Office, 2) downtown Seattle, 3) Kent.

Micro

Under the direct supervision of a clinical supervisor, interns will accumulate clinical hours for SUDP licensure and gain hands-on experience in:
Supervised assessments and individual counseling
Treatment plan development and psychoeducation
Case consultation and management

Mezzo

Facilitating treatment groups and recovery support services

Macro

We'll be working on trying to get a 200-dollar visa gift card as well as a discounted meals at our meal site. We'll also be looking for some additional funding oopportunities.

Required Experience

No SUDPT licensure is required at the start; however, interns must obtain SUDPT within one month after completing 50 clinical observation hours.

Required/Preferred Languages

Asian and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander language can be helpful but not required.
