Description

Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization working for social justice and offering a broad array of behavioral health programs, human services and civic engagement activities for Asian and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islanders and other communities in King County and beyond. ACRS serves a wide range of Asian and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander communities – immigrants, refugees and American born – in the Pacific Northwest.

Micro

Support weekly group facilitation, including setting up spaces, collecting supplies, serving food, and attending off-site field trips.
Develop personal QOLOR curriculum and activities in the latter half of the internship.

Mezzo

Develop curriculum focused on behavioral health, QtBIPOC identities and history, creative arts, leadership, skill-building, and activism.
Conduct outreach at Seattle Public Schools and community events to promote awareness and recruit participants.
Assist with administrative tasks, including coordinating field trips, events, guest speakers, and documentation.

Additional Perks or Funding

We are exploring potential stipend opportunities for 2025, though we cannot guarantee them at this time. However, a $200 gift card will be provided during the holiday season. Additionally, interns will receive discounts on meals at our kitchen and coffee shop. We also offer comprehensive training and ongoing consultation to support your experience.

Required Experience

Experience or strong interest in working with LGBTQIA+ and/or BIPOC youth.

Required/Preferred Languages

A&NH/PI Language is helpful but not required.
