Description
At Zane Counseling, we’re not your typical therapy practice—we’re a close-knit, supportive family that’s passionate about making mental health care approachable, meaningful, and even a little fun! We offer a range of services, including one-on-one counseling, school-based placements, support groups, and community partnerships, all while creating a space where everyone feels valued and heard. Our team works together, lifts each other up, and has each other's backs, whether we're tackling tough client cases or sharing a laugh during a break. We’re committed to helping our staff and interns grow professionally and personally, and we believe that when we support each other, we can do our best work. If you’re looking to be part of a dynamic team that feels like family, Zane Counseling is the place for you!
Micro
Interns will gain hands-on experience in one-on-one clinical counseling, working directly with clients to develop therapeutic skills, build rapport, and apply evidence-based interventions. Through supervision and mentorship, interns will refine their clinical approach, enhance their case conceptualization skills, and gain confidence in direct client care.
Mezzo
Interns will have opportunities to engage in school-based placements, support group facilitation, and community collaborations. They will develop group facilitation skills, assist in creating psychoeducational workshops, and work alongside educators and community partners to provide mental health support in broader settings.
Macro
Interns will explore larger systemic and advocacy-focused aspects of mental health care, including social media content creation, psychoeducational workshop development, and community outreach initiatives. They will gain experience in mental health education, destigmatization efforts, and collaborative partnerships that support mental wellness on a broader scale.
Additional Perks or Funding
Free trainings
Consistent supervision and consultations
Required Experience
We’re not just looking for an intern—we’re looking for a go-getter who thrives in a team, takes initiative, and isn’t afraid to jump in and make things happen! If you’re the kind of person who sees a problem and says, “I got this!” instead of waiting for someone else to handle it, we want you on our team.
Bonus points if you:
-Love animals (because everyone on the team has a fur-baby).
-Have a sense of humor
-Enjoy being part of a team (lone wolves need not apply).
-Bring ideas to the table (and enthusiastically follows through on them).
-Are naturally organized—color-coded calendars, to-do lists, or just knowing where you saved that one important file? All great skills here
If you’re outgoing, fun, and ready to make a meaningful impact, apply now! Our ZC family is excited to welcome you!
