About the Program:
Evergreen Recovery Centers' Pregnant and Parenting Women's Program is seeking dedicated and passionate Master of Social Work (MSW) students for internship positions during the 2024-2025 school year. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in clinical social work, focusing on families in a residential treatment setting.
Internship Overview:
Join us at Evergreen Recovery Centers, where you will receive excellent supervision, training, and professional development. This internship provides an opportunity to gain experience working in both the Mental Health and Infant Mental Health departments. As an intern, you will work with a small caseload of pregnant and parenting women and their children, providing individual, dyadic, and group counseling.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and co-facilitate therapeutic and educational groups for residents, covering topics such as parenting skills, substance use education, mental health awareness, and life skills.
Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to women in the program.
Work in a therapeutic dyad with parents and their children to support healthy parent-child relationships and address attachment and bonding issues.
Engage in activities that support the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of both children and parents.
Promote and support positive parent-child interactions and relationships.
Conduct biopsychosocial, cultural, and spiritual assessments to understand the needs and strengths of clients.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and interventions.
Ensure compliance with agency policies and confidentiality regulations.

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Master of Social Work (MSW) program.
Strong interest in clinical social work, particularly with families.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
Previous experience in a clinical or residential setting is preferred but not required.
