Description

Lavender Spectrum Health is a private practice in Vancouver, Washington. We provide primary care for adolescents and adults, gender affirming hormone therapy for adults, sexual and reproductive health services, local anesthesia injections for electrolysis (permanent hair removal), and mental health services. Our mental health services include one-on-one therapy, letters for gender-affirming electrolysis or surgery, autism/ADHD evaluations, and limited case management/ care coordination. We focus on LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent individuals. All our providers practice from a Health at Every Size, trauma-informed, and neurodivergent-informed lens.

Micro

- One-on-One Counseling Services: Gain experience in providing individual counseling to clients seeking mental health support, and help prepare charts for mental health clinicians

- Gender-Affirming Care: Learn about and participate in the provision of gender-affirming hormone therapy and support services for transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming individuals.

- Sexual and Reproductive health: Learn about and participate in the provision of sexual and reproductive health services and support individuals receiving these services

-Case management and care coordination: gain experience providing case management and care coordination to individuals including primary care referral coordination

Mezzo

- Facilitation of Support Groups: Assist in organizing and facilitating group therapy sessions, such as the gender process group and the late-diagnosed neurodivergence group.

- Community Resource Coordination: Collaborate with local organizations to connect clients with community support resources

Macro

- Program Development: Contribute to the development and evaluation of new services and programs aimed at addressing the needs of LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities.

- Advocacy and Policy Work: Engage in advocacy efforts to promote inclusive healthcare policies and practices within the broader healthcare system.

Required Experience
