Description
350 Seattle works toward climate justice by organizing people to make deep system change: resisting fossil fuels; building momentum for healthy alternatives; and fostering resilient, just, and welcoming communities.
Our 3-Year Strategic Vision:
- Becoming a Multi-Cultural / Climate Justice Org. Fulfilling the deeper intention of our Mission to working toward climate justice, we are making the deep systemic change ourselves.
- Green New Deal campaigns. For our big campaigns, we’ll be focusing on GND efforts that can build the level of cross-movement power needed for transformative systems change.
- Invest in Staff and Org Sustainability. Wisely using our resources and empowering staff to lead our collective work into long term sustainability and organizational stability.
The Civic Action Team is 350 Washington Network’s shared legislative campaign to push for bold climate policy through various lobbying efforts of elected officials. The 350 WA Network consists of 11 independent 350.org-affiliated local groups across the state that regularly engage with elected representatives at the city, county and state levels, and resist the fossil fuel industry in their communities in a variety of ways. You can check out the 350 WA Network and 350 WA CAT at https://www.350wa.org/.
