Description

Teen Feed works with the local community to prepare and serve warm, healthy balanced meals in a safe space between 7-8PM every day. Youth gain access to caring adults, resources, toiletries, cold weather gear, backpacks, first aid kits, underwear and vital formative relationships.

Over the Teen Feed dinner, staff and trained volunteer mentors build trust with young people in need. Through these relationships youth are helped to self-identify goals, make positive choices and achieve stability. We provide a foundational mailing address and work with trusted partners for state ID acquisition, employment assistance, GED support, housing referrals and moreeal program.

Trained staff and peer interns meet young people "where they are" in the streets and public spaces where they spend their time. We offer hot coffee, snacks and socks and invite them to the meal program. Outreach is often the first positive contact youth will have with support services they trust.
