Description
The Community Partnership and Family Engagement Team is comprised of the Community Partnership Manager, Family Engagement Specialist, Attendance, and Language and Interpretation Services, all working to foster meaningful relationships with students, families, local organizations, and institutions.
The Community Partnerships Internship (2 students) offers a unique opportunity to work directly with the Community Partnership Manager, who leads the recruitment, onboarding, and maintenance of over 100 local community-based organizations partnering with Highline Public Schools. Interns will play a key role in identifying and integrating district and school-level partners who aim to reduce risk factors and promote protective factors for students and families.
Interns will focus on strategic planning, partnership assessments, and developing best practices for community engagement. They will also assist in creating an implementation and evaluation framework for community partnerships. This internship provides invaluable exposure to district and community leaders in youth and community development, offering hands-on experience with initiatives that impact the well-being of children, youth, and families. This role is perfect for students interested in administration, policy, community development, public relations, and program management.
