Description

Teleo is a virtual therapy platform for children that makes remote therapy more engaging for clients and easier to facilitate for therapists. Therapists, kids, and caregivers love Teleo, and we now have over 1200 practices on our platform.

Learning Opportunities

Come learn about the intersection of clinical innovation and tech with us! The Teleo clinical team focuses on:

  • Building clinical community and clinician support
  • Hosting drop-in consult groups
  • Meeting one-on-one with clinicians who work with kids and teens on Teleo to build relationships, assess their needs, and connect them to community supports
  • Creating helpful content for the community and Clinician Resource Center
  • Clinical product
  • Leveraging insights from clinical theory and clinician conversations to influence product decisions, focusing on high-quality, evidence-based interventions.
  • Clinical resources
  • Supporting the growth of an extensive clinical resources list by vetting submissions for clinical quality

 

Micro

While this is not a micro placement, micro practice skills are utilized in one-on-one supportive conversations with clinicians using the Teleo Platform, as well as supportive clinician engagement in our clinical community.

Mezzo

-Attending cross-functional team meetings
-Support new clinician onboarding and learning of the mental health tools offered by Teleo
-Supporting with managing our clinical resource database, including responding to user (mental health clinicians) submissions of resources
-Creating content for our clinical resource center and activity bank
-Planning EBP intervention curriculums
-Supporting with our research projects (IRB approved in partnership with Stanford University)
-Supporting clinician engagement in our clinician-user community
-Shadowing, and later conducting, user calls and seeing the integration of clinician feedback into the product roadmap

Macro

-Supporting research projects (IRB approved) focused on strengthening clinical quality outcomes over telehealth
-Building out programs for telehealth initiatives, including building evidence-based curricula.
-Advocating for more equity in mental health care access.

Required Experience

We are looking for students who:
- Are interested in learning about how technology can be used to improve care access and quality.
- Passion for improving child and teen mental health outcomes
- Exposure to and respect for a wide variety of therapy approaches and techniques
- Evidence-driven mindset
-Has some direct experience working directly with children and/or teens (this could be subclinical, such as case management prior to grad school, or from a first-year placement)
