Description
Compass Health is a private, non-profit, state licensed organization providing mental health and chemical dependency services. We provide services in Island, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish, and Whatcom counties. A volunteer board of directors guides our path. Compass Health is a leader in the delivery of behavioral health services. We provide quality, creative services to children, families and adults. Our goal is to help people stay in their home and in their community, surrounded by family and friends who can support them during difficult times. At the Everett Child and Family Clinic, we provide outpatient treatment for children and families. We have a comprehensive range of programs serving children and families of all income levels and ethnic cultures. Clients served may be chronically mentally ill; experiencing an episodic crisis; dual diagnosed or seeking assistance for an emotional or behavioral problem.
Micro
Interns will provide therapy to children, youth, and families. Services may include individual therapy, family services, group therapy, and support for parents and children. We are currently providing a mix of telehealth and in person services.
Interns would also participate in case management services with schools, probation officers, Denney Juvenile Justice Center, DSHS, and other community partners.
Each week, interns will receive one hour of individual supervision. It is highly recommended, but not required that they attend the team's virtual meetings on Thursday mornings from 10am to 12pm. During this time they will participate in a twice monthly clinical consultation group, as well as other group clinical and administrative supervision/training with the Everett Child and Family Team each month. Other activities on Thursday mornings that interns are strongly encouraged to attend are weekly staff meetings and monthly teambuilding activities.
Interns must complete a four day New Employee Orientation (NEO) before providing any direct service to clients. It is recommended that interns complete NEO prior to the start of their class schedule. Within the first 3 months, all interns are required to attend the following trainings: Clinical Documentation, DLA-20, Bloodborne Pathogens, and various other trainings assigned through Relias Learning. Throughout their time at Compass Health, interns will be involved in other trainings through the agency and have additional opportunities for growth.
Mezzo
Interns have an opportunity to engage with community partners at resource fairs. Interns are encouraged to participate in change initiatives at the agency, which could include providing feedback about how systemic issues impact client care.
