Required Experience
The Center for Chronic Illness (CCI) promotes well-being and decreases isolation for those impacted by ongoing health challenges through support and education. CCI is a small nonprofit, based in Seattle, WA, that provides virtual support groups for the chronic illness community which are facilitated by licensed mental health professionals. CCI works to create safe, currently all virtual spaces, where patients and their loved ones impacted by chronic illness can come together and share their stories.
CCI is looking for engaged, kind, and compassionate individuals to fill our MSW intern roles for the 2024-2025 school year. Students should take direction well and be able to work independently. Because this is a remote position, students who apply will need to have experience with Zoom, Google documents, spreadsheets, and powerpoints, and have professional email and phone etiquette.
Those who have lived experience with or had loved ones who have experienced chronic illness are welcome to apply. BIPOC individuals and those with disabilities are encouraged to apply as well. See above opportunity description for additional details.
Required/Preferred Languages
English is the primary language spoken at the Center for Chronic Illness, but CCI does offer some programs in Spanish, so bilingual English / Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply.
How to Apply
If interested, please contact executive director, Allison Fine, MSW, LICSW at executivedirector@thecenterforchronicillness.org, with your resume and letter of interest and whether this is your 1st or 2nd practicum placement.
