Description
Seneca’s mission is to help children and families through the most difficult times of their lives. We are driven by the fundamental belief that children and families do not themselves fail, but rather are failed by systems unable to meet their complex needs. Guided by our core agency values of love and compassion, hope and courage, respect, curiosity, joy, equity and justice Seneca refuses to fail the young people and families we serve. We offer each child and family a profound promise: you will be supported every step of your journey, no matter what challenges you face along the way.

Additional Perks or Funding
All Seneca interns complete our two week New Employee Orientation (M-F 9am-5:30pm) prior to beginning internship, for an orientation to the agency, how we serve youth, and our clinical model, Unconditional Care. This training is offered back-to-back through the summer to allow interns to select the NEO cycle that best fits their schedule and does not conflict with classes. Interns also have access to all of the trainings provided through our Training Department: https://senecafoa.org/events-training/
Required Experience
The training settings we offer are most appropriate for advanced students who already have some exposure to clinical populations and direct work with clients.
Required/Preferred Languages
Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required.
How to Apply
Please follow the directions on our internship webpage (below), by submitting cover letter, resume, and Fieldwork Matching Form. Applicants will then be contacted for an interview. We begin reviewing applications on February 1st of each year, and continue reviewing applications until all positions are filled.
