Description
Dr. Angelique Day's research team, located at the University of Washington School of Social Work, focuses on child welfare issues locally and nationally. The team's philosophy embraces community based participatory research and highlights the importance of relationships and sovereignty when working with and for marginalized populations. We prioritize the voices of those with lived experience in and around the child welfare system. This is especially relevant given Dr. Day's extensive work in tribal child welfare, which the team continues to this day. The team also partners with other entities in the School of Social Work, such as the Indigenous Wellness Research Center.
