Description

The Summit Community Center (SCC) opened its doors in Capitol Hill Seattle in 2023 to support young adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and those considered neurodivergent, initially aged 18-35+, to develop a sense of place, true community membership, and opportunities for continued growth and independence. The SCC offers programming across four core pillars: Education, Recreation, Community, and Growth to provide a range of classes and programming that appeal to all the different abilities and passions of the SCC members.

Our vision is to create a world where young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can build independence, socialize, and connect with their community in supportive environments that facilitate autonomy and true engagement.

Our Mission is to celebrate these young adults as unique individuals and to recognize the value and contributions they bring to their SCC community and community at large.
