Community
Pacific Mental Health is an organization that is dedicated to serving those from the community at all income levels. We are always looking for ways to serve those in need. Whether providing reduced fee counseling or involvement with other organizations in a collaborative effort, we seek for opportunities to bring awareness to the community about mental health.
Mission Statement
At Pacific Mental Health our mission is to create high quality individualized mental health care and training of clinicians.
Company Core Values
-
Integrity:
We are committed to providing the highest quality care and supporting the wellbeing of our clients and clinicians. Through the means of offering a diverse set of therapeutic approaches and styles we aim towards continuing to provide loyalty, reliability and accessibility to all clients who are seeking support.
-
Development:
At PMH we support the development and continued education of clinicians and clinicians-in-training. Further, we believe learning is fostered through individual supervision, group supervision, and continuing education courses. Therefore, we continue to strive to offer a diverse set of learning opportunities for all of our clinicians.
-
Diversity and Equality:
PMH strongly believes that everyone has a right to be treated with respect and dignity. We believe that respect and dignity are presented in the ability to support every individual, client and employee, and provide a place to feel comfortable and safe. Additionally, we believe in the value of holding a space for clinicians with a diverse set of backgrounds, beliefs and specialties.
-
Advocacy:
At PMH we are committed to supporting our communities, clients and employees in all aspects. We work towards supporting community organizations, individual clients through high quality care, and community involvement.
-
Empathy, Empowerment, and Compassion:
We believe that empathy, empowerment, and compassion are of the utmost importance in creating a safe and trusting environment for our clients, and clinicians.
At PMH we strive to withhold these outlined core values at the highest importance.
Leadership
We believe that leadership isn’t just about organizing the affairs of a company or telling others what to do, its about working together in a collaborative transparent way to ensure the best quality care for the patients we serve. We have this concept in mind whether we are meeting with students who are involved in our training program, coordinating community events, or working with clients who seek our services. Leadership is a learned experience for all parties involved.
Micro
The micro level is the majority of the work done at pacific mental health. Our students will work one on one with clients primarily on doing therapy and being supervised for the therapy work they are doing.
Mezzo
At the Mezzo level we have opportunities for students to engage in group therapy, along with supporting other students in student lead groups, and peer support groups as well.
Macro
At the macro level we have blog and article writing for students to participate in, as well as volunteer opportunities, group therapy, and community connection to engage in.
Required Experience
We like to see that our students have had some level of mental health, or similar related work experience. This can be anything from volunteer work, to generalized practicums etc.
