Description
Therapeutic Health Services (THS) is a non-profit organization founded in 1973. THS operates 9 service locations in King and Snohomish counties offering a full-range of treatment services for individuals and families living with substance use and mental health challenges. Our experienced, caring and compassionate staff includes Substance Use Disorder Professionals, Mental Health Clinicians, Case Managers, Nurses, ARNPs, physicians and psychiatrists. We provide evidence-based treatment and interventions which are tailored to the individual strengths and goals of the person served. We specialize in supporting the recovery of high-risk, low-income, multi-system involved adults and youth who benefit from intensive and creative treatment supports. We specialize in providing culturally relevant programs and services for BIPOC and LGBTQIA youth and adults.
Therapeutic Health Services is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and licensed by federal, state and county governments. As a fully licensed nonprofit healthcare service provider, we are eligible for coverage by most private and government insurance plans. We are funded by federal, state and local governments as well.
Micro
TINY HOME BEHAVIORAL HEALTH INTERN
WAKE UP EVERY DAY AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
THS, in collaboration with LIHI, (Low Income Housing Institute) seeks to improve the lives of those living in LIHI operated tiny home villages within our community. In our work with LIHI, we have seen safe, secure, dignified shelter for those who have been living outside combined with on-site behavioral health services as a stabilizing first step in the transition out of homelessness. In addition to supporting individual residents in their mental health and/or substance use disorder recovery, by providing de-escalation and crisis management services we are able to help make the villages safer places for all residents and help villages to be good neighbors in the areas where they are sited.

Yes. Interns are part of a team that serves the Tiny Home Villages that are managed by the Low-Income Housing Institute.
As such, you will be an advocate for this program on many different levels and many different ways.
The primary focus of the internship, however, is on micro level work.
