Micro

Students will have the opportunity to provide direct services, screenings, interventions and support individuals, families, and groups. Students will have the opportunity to offer case management services, one-on-one counseling and group counseling in a variety of therapeutic settings. Clinicians in this role see clients in clinic based on location, in home, in schools, virtually, and in the community.

The target client population for the Community Networks youth program is individuals and their families with intellectual/developmental disabilities who are between the ages of 8 - 18, up to 21 years of age if the youth is still enrolled in school (transition program). Services address the needs of the most vulnerable groups including children/youth, clients who experience housing challenges, food insecurity, mental illness, substance use/abuse, domestic violence, physical/mental/sexual abuse and neglect, individuals living in poverty, gender identity, and who have limited access to appropriate care.

Mezzo

The Community Networks Program team members work closely with many systems of care including: the Developmental Disability Administration, Seattle Children's Hospital, Seattle Children's Autism Center, school districts, local hospitals including Emergency Departments, the Department of Social and Health Services, and other professional partners. We highly encourage students to participate in WISe teams (Wraparound with Intensive Services) geared toward high needs clients/families and the coordination of natural and professional supports, this gives the student an opportunity to work on advocacy skills and "client systems".

Macro

Due to the client centered focus of the services we provide at the Community Networks Program at Sound, our focus is on micro and mezzo areas of focus.
