Description
We are a non-profit, community-based organization with a mission to promote the optimal health, quality of life and independence of people with kidney disease through patient care, education and research.
Founded in Seattle in 1962, we are the world's first dialysis organization. We provided about 290,000 dialysis treatments last fiscal year, about a quarter of all dialysis treatments in the state, for 2,735 patients who dialyzed in one of our centers in Puget Sound area or at home with our support.

The Social Work Intern will engage in patient advocacy services, coordinate social services matters with physicians, NKC personnel, patients, families and other organizations, provide patient education and counseling, and undertake special projects, when appropriate and mutually agreed upon.
