PSESD is one of nine regional educational agencies serving school districts and state approved charter and private schools in Washington. Serving over 39% of Washington’s K-12 public school students, our agency provides critical services designed to ensure that our students are ready to enter school, achieve at high levels in the K-12 system, and succeed in postsecondary endeavors. Expanded Learning oversees this program and collaborates with multiple schools and partners to enhance opportunity for Latinx communities. Micro
Work in a team setting with a variety of partners (KBTC-PBD Kids, school district staff, and Tacoma Pierce County Health Depart- Family Support Partners) in establishing Latinx family events. This is an opportunity to meet the Latinx needs in this community by providing fun, cultural events.

Macro
Work with Latinx Family Advocate in establishing monthly family events serving Latinx youth and their families. Topics vary from Parent Leadership, Knowing your Rights, STEAM activities, Cultural events, etc. Coordinate guest speakers, materials, and food for each event. Work closely with PSESD Latinx Family Advocate.
Additional Perks or Funding
Possible hourly rate, need confirmation on our funding. Training in our anti-racist work and learn skills on collaboration with partners, parents, and youth.
Required Experience
Have experience working with or a passion to work with Latinx families and youth (K-12).
Have good communication.
Have good organization skills.

English and Spanish
